Research InterestsMy research interests lie in applying Bayesian methods of statistical inference to analyze data of complex structure that arise in a variety of applications. In particular, I am interested in Bayesian modelling of classification problems in data with large feature spaces. In my PhD thesis I developed classification models based on the theory of reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces and applied them to micro-array, image-processing and near-infrared spectroscopy data sets. One of the most interesting aspects of modelling high-dimensional data is feature selection. This is a challenging problem and I am interested in developing novel approaches to solve it. |
